Greetings Family of God,

Like you, my heart breaks with the brutal situations in our justice system.

The issue of racism has raged in this country for decades, and as we can see, it is still something that rips and tears at the heart of anyone who believes in the value of every God-created human being.

The Word of God makes it clear that Jesus looked far beyond the color of skin, or societal “norms” of even that day as He so often stopped to minister to the broken, downtrodden and rejected ones.

One of the most powerful scriptures I can think of sharing with you is one that Jesus quoted in Luke 4:18: “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised;

Therefore, Pastor LaTaska and I want to encourage you as People of God, to keep your heads lifted up during these troubling times. We will get through this together by continuing to speak truth to power!!
